9/23/2008 MSA Staff to Lecture at BioJapan2008
MSA Partners has been invited to give a talk at BioJapan2008, which takes place in Yokohama, Japan from October 15th to 17th, as part of a panel entitled "Learning from Success Cases in the U.S.: How Biotech Ventures Can Survive the 'Valley of Death.'" 3/19/2008 MSA Partners Enters Business Tie-up with B-Bridge International
Under an agreement concluded April 1, 2008, MSA and California-based B-Bridge will jointly promote the U.S. Pharmaceutical Industry Weekly Report, the U.S. Biotech Industry Newsletter and the Blue Moose series of research reports.
Taking advantage of B-Bridge Internationa's network of contacts in Japan's pharma and healthcare fields, the business tie-up will help bring the timely information and insights of MSA newsletters and research publications to a wider audience.
2/11/2008 MSA Research Publication Introduced in Japanese Media
A research report in MSA's Blue Moose series entitled "Tracking a Successful U.S.-based Japanese Bio-venture: The Case of Sucampo Pharmaceuticals" (available only in Japanese) was highlighted in two Japanese media: the Nikkan Yakugyo (Pharmaceutical Affairs Daily), January 17, 2008 edition and the MR Mail News, January 31, 2008 edition.

MSA Partners was invited to organize a series of four guest lectures on "Clinical Development of Advanced and Biological Pharmaceuticals" at Chiba University. The lectures, which took place, between January 29th and March 6th, covered the following subjects:

11/27/2007 On November 22, Fujitsu Limited announced their second quarter financial results for fiscal 2007.
MSA, as a trusted partner of Fujitsu for almost 20 years, has once again assisted in the creation, translation and revision of these crucial materials.
5/17/2007 MSA will be holding a five day seminar on the topic of "Understanding Medicare & Medicaid" from September 10-14, 2007.
The seminar will be conducted in Japanese and is therefore geared towards fluent Japanese speakers. Please see our Japanese page for further details.
5/11/2007 US Biotech Industry Newsletter Released on May 1
MSA is proud to announce the inaugural issue of our new US Biotech Industry Newsletter.
The new monthly publication spans 20 pages in Japanese and covers the US biotech industry in greater detail than the original US Pharmaceutical Industry Newsletter (Beikoku Seiyaku Gyokai Shuho).

publication "Biotechnology Journal."

3/23/2007 On March 16th, 2007, MSA Gives Successful Presentation at the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA).
On March 16, 2007, MSA employees gave a presentation on market trends, new regulations and the role of the critical path initiative in the US pharmaceutical industry at the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA). The event, arranged with the cooperation of JPMA staff, gave a substantial overview of the major issues facing the pharmaceutical industry in the US, including:
- Events over the Past Year that Illustrate Important Trends in the US Biopharmaceutical Market
- 2007 Legislative Agenda Affecting the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Progress on the Critical Path Initiative
- Compassionate Use Rules for Unapproved Drugs
MSA is happy to have witnessed first-hand the deep interest in the US pharmaceutical industry and the enthusiastic response to the topics addressed by the many corporate representatives who attended despite the busy time of year. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response,

7/1/2006 New Reports from Blue Moose Research
Blue Moose Research, MSA's in-house research division, recently issued two new reports published in Japanese, one on topics relating to the FDA's Critical Path initiative, and the other an updated report on the new Medicare prescription drug benefit.
4/1/2006 MSA Presentations on Healthcare Reforms and the Pharmaceutical Industry
In April MSA gave two presentations in New York. One, which was hosted by
the Japanese Chamber
of Commerce and Industry of New York, was a joint presentation with Mr.
Akira Miura, who has been in the Health Department of JETRO
New York as a representative of Japan's Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare,
on recent regulatory reforms designed to contain spiraling healthcare insurance
costs. The other was to a group of Japanese pharmaceutical executives on the
impact of the Medicare Modernization Act on the pharmaceutical industry.
