Food

food-1Globalization affects every aspect of our lives, including what we eat. While certain Japanese dishes, such as sushi, are now enormously popular in the US, many Americans are now ready to further expand their culinary horizons and incorporate a wider array of Japan’s rich variety of food products into their diet. The emphasis Japanese cuisine places on the quality and freshness of food ingredients has also inspired leading chefs from other culinary traditions, who increasingly use Japanese food ingredients in their own dishes. Promoting the export of food products from Japan is one of the key objectives of the Japanese government.

On behalf of the Japanese government and food product companies from Japan, and in collaboration with Japan’s leading public relations agency, we have been organizing events in the US market designed to promote a greater awareness and appreciation of Japanese food products, including events featuring the dishes of America’s leading chefs.
